Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Guestly collects, uses, and shares information when you use our platform. It is a starting template and should be reviewed by legal counsel before launch.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated as you use Guestly, including:

  • Account details such as your name, email address, phone number, and venue or organisation information.
  • Booking and guest-list information you enter or that your guests submit, such as names, party sizes, and contact details.
  • Payment information processed through our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers ourselves).
  • Usage and device data such as log files, IP address, browser type, and the pages and features you interact with. When staff use the Guestly dashboard we may record sessions to improve the product; all on-screen text and form entries are masked in these recordings.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Guestly platform; process bookings and payments; communicate with you about your account and our services; provide support; and protect the security and integrity of the service.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers who help us operate Guestly (for example, payment processing, email delivery, hosting, and analytics), with the venue or organisation whose services you book through Guestly, and where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others. Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. Your card details are handled directly by that provider in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices, and are not stored on Guestly servers.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
